Ashish Patel is the Portfolio President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) at AccelerEd, where he spearheads IT strategy and modernization efforts for global enterprise applications. With over 20 years of experience in IT services, consulting, and e-commerce operations, Ashish leads teams that enhance student experiences for the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) and other esteemed partner institutions. His innovative approach and forward-looking vision position AccelerEd as a leader in transforming higher education through technology.

Before joining AccelerEd, Ashish was a Managing Director of Digital Acceleration at Morgan Franklin Consulting, focusing on CIO and CFO advisory practices, IT strategy, business transformation, and technology modernization. His career also includes serving as Senior Vice President of Technology at Bank of America, where he directed mobile and online retail banking technology initiatives, and as CIO of Creative Marketing Solutions, where he re-engineered IT operations and data management to drive business growth and operational excellence.

Ashish’s expertise aligns business processes with IT capabilities to achieve cost savings, improve performance, and ensure strategic flexibility. Throughout his career, he has successfully guided organizations across the globe in enhancing technology readiness and efficiency, helping them adapt to rapidly changing digital landscapes.

Ashish holds an MBA and a Master of Science from the University of South Carolina. He is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and Scrum Master, showcasing his commitment to operational excellence and agile methodologies.
