Vice President of Operations & Strategy at AccelerEd
Tulio Lagos is an accomplished operations, strategy, and digital transformation leader, currently serving as the Vice President of Operations & Strategy at AccelerEd. In this role, Tulio is responsible for establishing a strategic roadmap across AccelerEd’s IT portfolio, collaborating closely with product owners and business leaders to align university operations with technical system application and performance. His team is critical in evaluating new initiatives that enhance the student experience and drive digital transformation in higher education.
Before joining AccelerEd, Tulio was the Market & Business Insights Director for Laureate Education. In this capacity, he defined the strategy, product vision, and roadmap for the analytics and market intelligence portfolio across a group of universities. Tulio excelled at leading cross-functional teams to develop and implement product and service features that gave stakeholders greater flexibility and improved outcomes.
Tulio’s leadership journey began at Confecciones Internacionales, where he spent seven years managing the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant, overseeing all levels of the supply chain. His diverse background gives him a unique perspective on driving operational efficiency and innovation.
Tulio holds a bachelor’s degree from Universidad Tecnologica Centroamericana (UNITEC) and an MBA from Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles. He also completed a certificate in business analytics from the University of Pennsylvania, reflecting his commitment to continuous learning and strategic insight.
